Back to Northampton

Prior to 1830
The Darken home was located where later was the Wilkes-Barre Business College. In 1813 it was owned and occupied by Judge John B. Gigson, who in 1816 was elected to the Supreme Court bench, where he served 37 years.

Farther toward Main street was the Presbyterian Church Parsonage, occupied in 1829 by Rev. Mr. Gildersleeve, and in 1830 by Rev. Nicholas Murray. (Old Map)
